19th March – The Furniture Makers’ Sustainability Event: Making Commercial Sense of Sustainability

Thursday 19th March 2026, 11am-4.00pm | Furniture Makers’ Hall, Austin Friars, London

The Furniture Makers’ Company, the City of London livery company and charity for the furnishing industry, is inviting professionals across the bed and broader furniture industry to attend ‘Making Commercial Sense of Sustainability’, a one-day industry event focused on turning environmental responsibility into commercial opportunity.

The event will bring together business leaders, sustainability experts, manufacturers, designers and specifiers to examine how sustainability can be embedded into business strategy in a way that supports growth, resilience and long-term profitability.

As economic pressures, regulatory change and customer expectations continue to intensify, the event will offer practical insights rather than theory, addressing how businesses can respond realistically and competitively. Topics will include managing climate risk, navigating sustainability legislation, communicating credible sustainability messages, and adopting circular economy principles that add value rather than cost.

Attendees will benefit from expert speakers, panel discussions, and networking opportunities with peers who are actively navigating the same challenges and opportunities.

Making Commercial Sense of Sustainability is open to professionals across the furniture, furnishing and interiors sectors. Places are limited and early booking is recommended.

Admission to the event is free for members of The Furniture Makers’ Company and £25 for non-members. Lunch is included.
