The National Bed Federation (NBF) has announced the eight categories for its highly anticipated Bed Industry Awards for 2024, honouring the brightest and best enterprises in the bed market.
The awards showcase the very best in inspiration, design and innovation among NBF member manufacturers, suppliers and supporting retailers. The awards are free to enter, and all entries are submitted online.
2024’s lineup includes four awards for NBF member manufacturers and suppliers and four for retailers that predominantly stock NBF-approved member brands.
NBF Member Awards
The accolades of Bed Manufacturer of the Year and Supplier of the Year are once again for the taking by NBF members. These awards recognise the achievements and innovations at a company level.
Returning for 2024 is the highly coveted Bed Product of the Year, which includes mattresses, headboards, frames and sofa beds, and Component Product of the Year, awarded to the supplier with the most innovative component product or machine used in manufacturing a finished product.
Retailer Awards
Recognising the contributions of the independent retailers, Small NBF Retail Champion of the Year returns for retailers with four stores or fewer and Large NBF Retail Champion of the Year for retailers with five to 20 stores. These awards are open to all retailers signed up to the NBF’s Retail Champions Scheme, which supports businesses whose product offer is from at least 50% NBF-approved member brands.
Businesses with more than 20 stores are encouraged to enter the National Bed Retailer of the Year Award, and businesses where at least 80% of the sales are via the internet are encouraged to enter the Online Bed Retailer of the Year Award.
NBF executive director Tristine Hargreaves shared her encouragement for the bed trade to enter the awards: “The NBF’s Bed Industry Awards are among the most coveted accolades for the UK and Irish bed trade. Winning an award sets you apart from your competitors and is an excellent opportunity to further promote your business and achievements.
Hargreaves continued, “Each year, we continue to be hugely impressed by the standard of the entries, and we’re sure 2024 will be no different. So, it’s time to start planning your entries – just remember to read the criteria and our top tips carefully; they’re there to help you!”
The NBF will unveil a shortlist of all the retailer awards before announcing all the winners at the prestigious Bed Show Gala Dinner and Awards ceremony on Tuesday, 24 September.
